2025 강릉바리스타어워드, 강릉 빵축제와 함께 성황리에 마무리

가을 햇살이 따스하게 비추던 11월 8일 토요일, 강릉 오죽한옥마을 특설무대에서는 커피 향과 빵 굽는 냄새가 어우러진 특별한 축제가 펼쳐졌다.

On a warm autumn Saturday, November 8th, the air at Ojuk Hanok Village in Gangneung was filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baOver 100 Latte Art Masters from Across Korea Participate, Boosting the Local Coffee and Bakery Industryked bread.

‘2025 강릉바리스타어워드’가 제1회 강릉 빵축제와 함께 성황리에 개최되어, 전국의 바리스타들과 시민, 관광객들이 함께 즐기는 축제의 장이 되었다.

The 2025 Gangneung Barista Award, held in conjunction with the 1st Gangneung Bread Festival, became a vibrant gathering for baristas, locals, and visitors alike.

전국 라떼아트 고수들의 한판 대결

A Showcase of Korea’s Finest Latte Artists

이번 대회는 강원도립대학교 라이즈사업단(단장 최근표) 주최, 바리스타제과제빵과 주관으로 열렸다.

Hosted by the RISE Business Group of Gangwon State University and organized by the Department of Barista & Baking, the competition attracted top talent from across Korea.

온라인 예선을 통과한 32명의 본선 진출자가 1:1 토너먼트 라떼아트 대결을 펼쳤다.

After online preliminaries, 32 finalists competed in a 1:1 latte art tournament.

심사는 ▲거품의 질 ▲색 대비 ▲대칭 ▲난이도 ▲양 ▲시연 ▲시간 관리 등 세부 항목으로 이뤄졌으며,

Evaluation criteria included foam quality, color contrast, symmetry, difficulty, volume, presentation, and time control.

심사위원단은 김지훈 심사위원장(국가대표 바리스타)을 비롯해 김영진, 문예준, 이지수(전년도 챔피언) 등 네 명이 맡아 공정하고 전문적인 심사를 진행했다.

The judging panel, led by Head Judge Kim Ji-hoon, a national barista representative, included experts Kim Young-jin, Moon Ye-jun, and Lee Ji-soo (last year’s champion).

영예의 1위는 서울의 오수진 바리스타가 차지하며, 강원도립대학교 총장상과 트로피, 부상을 수상했다.

First place went to Oh Soo-jin (Koala Coffee Academy, Seoul), who received the President’s Award from Gangwon State University, along with a trophy and prize.

2위 정문주 바리스타는 강릉관광개발공사 사장상,

3위 장새영(서울 로허들), 4위 정해승(양주 퍼스트바리스타아카데미)는 각각 총장상을 수상했다.

Second place went to Jung Moon-joo, honored with the Gangneung Tourism Development Corporation Award;

Third and Fourth place were awarded to Jung Moon-joo (Rohuddle, Seoul) and Jung Hae-seung (First Barista Academy, Yangju), respectively.

시상식에서는 수상자들이 눈시울을 붉히는 장면이 이어지며, 현장은 따뜻한 박수와 환호로 가득했다.

Tears of joy filled the stage as winners were announced, and the venue resonated with applause and heartfelt cheers.

‘빵굽는 오죽’ 축제, 청년의 창의성과 지역 상생을 담다

같은 날 오죽한옥마을에서 열린 ‘빵굽는 오죽’ 축제에서도 활기가 넘쳤다.

At the nearby “Baking Ojuk” Festival, the energy continued.

라이즈사업단은 청년 창업 홍보부스를 운영하며 ▲커피박 키링 만들기 ▲컵케이크 만들기 ▲생초콜릿 체험** 등 다양한 프로그램을 선보였다.

The RISE team ran a youth entrepreneurship booth, featuring hands-on programs such as upcycled coffee-ground keychain making, cupcake decorating, and handmade chocolate workshops.

학생들이 직접 기획·운영한 이 부스는 “청년의 창의성과 지역자원 활용의 좋은 사례”라는 평가를 받았다.

Student-led planning and management earned praise as “a great example of youth creativity and local resource utilization.”

또한 바리스타제과제빵과 학생들은 대회 운영과 함께 ‘빵과 어울리는 무료 커피 나눔’ 자원봉사를 펼치며,

Students from the Barista & Baking Department also offered free coffee that pairs perfectly with bread, embodying Gangneung’s warm hospitality.

커피 도시 강릉의 매력과 정을 전하는 자리가 되었다.

The experience beautifully showcased Gangneung’s charm as Korea’s “coffee city.”

최근표 라이즈사업단장은 “이번 대회는 단순한 기술 경쟁을 넘어,

RISE Director Choi Geun-pyo said, “This event went beyond a simple skills competition.

커피와 빵이라는 로컬 자원을 중심으로 지역경제가 함께 성장하는 축제형 플랫폼이 되었다”고 평가했다.

It became a festival-style platform for shared growth between local industries of coffee and bread.”

그는 이어 “앞으로도 청년 창업가와 지역 소상공인이 함께 성장할 수 있는 연계 프로그램을 꾸준히 확대하겠다”고 밝혔다.

He added, “We’ll continue to expand practical linkages between young entrepreneurs and local small businesses.”
