강원특별자치도교육청, 시도교육청 평가 결과 ‘최우수’ 선정

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education Selected as ‘Best’ in National Evaluation of Metropolitan and Provincial Education Offices

강원특별자치도교육청(교육감 신경호)은 교육부가 실시한 ‘2025년 시도교육청 평가’에서 ‘최우수’ 등급을 받았다고 3일(월) 밝혔다.

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education (Superintendent Shin Kyung-ho) announced on Monday, the 3rd, that it received the “Best” grade in the 2025 Evaluation of Metropolitan and Provincial Offices of Education conducted by the Ministry of Education.

교육부는 매년 17개 시도교육청을 대상으로 국가시책 및 국정과제를 중심으로 한 영역을 평가지표로 설정해, 지표별 추진 실적이 기준을 통과한 비율에 따라 최우수–우수–보통–미흡의 4단계 등급을 부여하고 있다.

Each year, the Ministry of Education evaluates 17 regional education offices based on indicators focused on national policies and government initiatives. Depending on the degree of achievement against these standards, offices are rated in four levels: Best, Excellent, Average, and Needs Improvement.

강원특별자치도교육청은 ▲국가 책임 교육·돌봄 ▲교실 혁명 ▲함께 학교 ▲시도교육청 행·재정 운영 효율화 등 4개 영역, 총 21개 지표에서 모든 기준을 뛰어넘는 성과를 거두며 ‘최우수’ 평가를 받았다.

The Gangwon Office of Education achieved top marks across all 21 indicators in four major categories—National Responsibility for Education and Care, Classroom Innovation, Inclusive School Culture, and Administrative & Financial Efficiency—earning the highest overall rating.

특히, ▲학력향상 지원 강화 ▲디지털 기반 교육환경 조성 ▲SW·AI 등 디지털 역량 배양 ▲장애학생 통합교육 여건 조성 ▲학부모 참여 활성화 ▲조직운영 효율화 등의 세부 지표에서 우수한 평가를 받아, 향후 교육정책 추진에도 탄력을 받을 것으로 전망된다.

In particular, the office received outstanding evaluations in detailed indicators such as academic improvement support, digital learning environment development, enhancement of digital competencies (including SW and AI), inclusive education for students with disabilities, parental participation, and organizational efficiency—expected to provide strong momentum for future educational initiatives.

이번 평가 결과에 따라 강원특별자치도교육청은 ‘최우수 교육청’으로 선정되어 재정 인센티브를 받게 되며, 이를 교육정책에 재투자할 계획이다.

As a result of this recognition, the Gangwon Office of Education will receive financial incentives as one of the nation’s “Best Education Offices,” which will be reinvested into educational policy development.

#신경호 교육감은 “이번 최우수 등급은 ‘미래를 여는 학교, 더 나은 강원교육’을 향한 강원교육공동체 모두의 노력 덕분”이라며, “앞으로도 국가시책과 국정과제를 적극 추진하며 강원교육의 발전을 위해 더욱 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Superintendent Shin Kyung-ho stated, “This achievement was made possible through the dedication of the entire Gangwon educational community working toward ‘Schools Opening the Future, Better Education for Gangwon.’ We will continue to actively pursue national policies and initiatives to further advance education in Gangwon.”
