강원특별자치도교육청(교육감 신경호)은 9월 26일(금) 오후 2시 개막식을 시작으로, 10월 1일(수)까지 6일간 춘천미술관(춘천시 서부대성로 71)에서 「제49회 사제동행 교원미술교육연구발표전」을 개최한다.

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education (Superintendent Shin Kyung-ho) will host the 49th Teacher–Student Joint Art Education Exhibition at Chuncheon Museum of Art from September 26 (Fri) to October 1 (Wed), for six days of shared creativity and inspiration.

이번 전시는 교원과 학생이 함께 쌓아온 예술교육의 성과를 담은 자리다. 총 166점(교원 36점, 학생 130점)의 작품이 선보이며, 한국화, 서양화, 디자인·공예, 서예, 융합 등 다채로운 장르로 꾸며진다.

This exhibition showcases the fruits of art education built hand-in-hand by teachers and students. A total of 166 works—36 by teachers and 130 by students—will be presented across diverse genres, including Korean painting, Western painting, design & crafts, calligraphy, and interdisciplinary art.

전시 기간 동안 관람객 참여형 프로그램 「만져보는 미술관」도 운영된다.

During the exhibition, visitors can also enjoy “A Museum to Touch,” an interactive program that invites hands-on artistic experiences.

민화 체험 (Folk Painting Experience)

최근 K-팝 뮤직비디오 속 호랑이 이미지로 주목받는 민화를 직접 그려보며, 까치호랑이·모란·책가도의 전통적 아름다움을 느낄 수 있다.

Inspired by the rising popularity of folk paintings in K-pop music videos, participants can paint iconic motifs such as the magpie & tiger, peonies, and chaekgado (scholarly still-life screens), discovering the timeless charm of Korean tradition.

수채화 체험 (Watercolor Experience)

색 번짐과 스폰지 기법을 활용해 남녀노소 누구나 쉽게 작품을 완성하며, 물감이 번져가는 순간의 감성을 경험한다.

With simple brush and sponge techniques, anyone—young or old—can create their own watercolor piece, savoring the gentle poetry of colors as they spread across the page.

도자기 체험 (Pottery Experience)

핸드빌딩 기법으로 화병과 그릇을 직접 빚어보며 손끝에서 탄생하는 창작의 즐거움을 만끽한다.

Through hand-building techniques, participants shape vases and bowls, finding joy in the tactile process of creating art with their own hands.

개막일 오후 3시, 강원특별자치도교육연구원 대회의실에서는 정병모 한국민화학교 교장이 진행하는 교사 연수가 열린다. 「민화 까치호랑이, K-팝과 만나다: 우리 그림의 새로운 부활」이라는 주제로, 교사들은 민화를 현대적으로 재해석해 수업 현장에 접목할 방법을 탐구한다.

On the opening day at 3 p.m., a teacher training session will be held at the Gangwon Educational Research Institute. Led by Jung Byung-mo, Principal of the Korean Folk Painting School, the session titled “The Magpie and Tiger in Folk Painting Meets K-pop: A New Revival of Our Art” will explore ways for teachers to reinterpret folk art for today’s classrooms.

개막식과 함께 열리는 시상식에서는 △금상 △은상 △동상 △추천작가상 △초대작가상이 수여되며, 교원과 학생이 함께 이룬 성과를 기념한다.

The opening ceremony will also feature an awards presentation, honoring excellence with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Prizes, as well as Recognition and Invitation Awards—celebrating the shared achievements of teachers and students alike.

#신경호 교육감은 “사제동행 교원미술교육연구발표전은 교사와 학생이 예술을 매개로 소통하며 함께 성장하는 장”이라며, “특히 민화와 같은 한국적 전통예술이 K-팝과 만나 세계적 콘텐츠로 거듭나는 오늘, ‘한국적인 것이 세계적인 것’이라는 철학 아래 이번 전시와 연수가 강원의 예술교육을 한 단계 더 도약시키는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

Superintendent Shin Kyung-ho remarked, “This exhibition is a space where teachers and students grow together, communicating through the language of art. As traditional Korean folk art encounters K-pop and is reborn as global content, we embrace the philosophy that ‘what is Korean is global.’ I hope this exhibition and training will become a stepping stone for Gangwon’s art education to reach even greater heights.”
