만천초등학교 ‘새암관현악부’ 버스킹 개최

만천초등학교(교장 김수정)는 9월 25일(목) 아침 등교 시간에 교내 급식실 옆 필로티 공간에서 ‘선선한 가을 바람과 아름다운 선율과 함께~’를 주제로, 새암관현악부 버스킹 공연을 개최했다.

Mancheon Elementary School (Principal Kim Su-jeong) held a busking performance by the Saeam Orchestra on Thursday, September 25, during the morning arrival time, under the theme “With the Cool Autumn Breeze and Beautiful Melodies,” in the piloti space next to the school cafeteria.

만천초등학교가 자리한 만천리는 예로부터 ‘샘이 많은 마을’로 불려 왔으며, 이 전통을 살려 관현악부 이름을 ‘샘’의 옛말인 ‘새암’에서 따와 ‘새암관현악부’라 이름지었다.

Mancheon-ri, where Mancheon Elementary School is located, has long been called “the village with many springs.” To honor this tradition, the orchestra was named “Saeam,” derived from the old Korean word for “spring.”

새암관현악부는 1학년부터 6학년까지 55명의 학생으로 구성된 대표 동아리로, 평소 꾸준히 갈고닦은 실력을 각종 행사 및 버스킹, 새암예술제 등 다양한 무대에서 선보이며 실력을 인정받아 왔다.

The Saeam Orchestra is a representative club of the school, composed of 55 students from grades 1 to 6. They have continuously honed their musical skills and showcased their talent in various events, busking performances, and the Saeam Arts Festival, earning recognition for their excellence.

이번 버스킹에서는 △Last Carnival △Libertango △영화 어벤저스 테마곡 등 3곡을 연주하여, 등교하는 학생과 교직원, 학부모들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다.

In this busking session, the orchestra performed three pieces—Last Carnival, Libertango, and the Avengers movie theme—receiving enthusiastic responses from students, staff, and parents on their way to school.

#김수정 교장은 “어디에 내놓아도 손색없을 우리 새암관현악부가 매우 자랑스럽다.”며, “앞으로도 학생들의 특기를 살리고 끼를 발휘할 수 있는 다양한 동아리가 운영될 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.

Principal Kim Su-jeong stated, “I am very proud of our Saeam Orchestra, which can stand proudly anywhere.” She added, “We will continue to actively support the operation of various clubs that allow students to develop their talents and express their creativity.”
