삼척시가 9월 24일(수요일) 삼척시 정라동 이사부 광장에서 안전기원제 및 출정식을 갖고 2025년 제18회 동해왕 이사부 항로탐사에 나섰다.

On Wednesday, September 24, Samcheok City held a Safety Prayer Ceremony and a Departure Ceremony at Isabu Square in Jeongra-dong, officially launching the 18th King Isabu Sea Route Exploration in 2025.

사단법인 이사부기념사업회(이사장 최석민)가 주관하는 이번 행사는 신라 시대 때 실직주(삼척 옛 이름)의 군주로 임명돼 우산국을 복속하고 울릉도와 독도를 우리나라의 역사에 편입시킨 이사부 장군의 울릉도·독도 복속항로를 복원하고 재현함으로써 해양개척정신을 함양하기 위해 마련되었다.

Organized by the Isabu Memorial Association (Chairman: Choi Seok-min), this event aims to revive and reenact the maritime route of General Isabu of the Silla Dynasty, who, as governor of Siljikju (the former name of Samcheok), incorporated Usan-guk into Korean territory and brought Ulleungdo and Dokdo under Korean history. The event is designed to foster the spirit of maritime pioneering.

 24일 오전 10시부터 삼척항 인근 이사부광장에서 안전기원제와 출항선포식이 진행된다. 동해왕 이사부 항로탐사 대원 20여명은 9월 25일부터 9월 28일까지 4일간 동해에서 출발해 울릉도와 독도에 도착하는 우산국 복속 항로를 탐사하며 독도 주권 선포식, 이사부 역사 정신 교육과 울릉도 역사탐방 등을 진행할 예정이다.

Beginning at 10:00 AM on the 24th, a Safety Prayer Ceremony and Departure Proclamation will be held at Isabu Square near Samcheok Port. Around 20 exploration members will set sail from the East Sea on September 25, retracing the historical route to Ulleungdo and Dokdo over four days. During the journey, they will conduct the Dokdo Sovereignty Proclamation, hold educational programs on Isabu’s historical spirit, and explore Ulleungdo’s history.

시 관계자는 “삼척시는 이사부 장군의 우산국 복속 출항지로서, 앞으로도 이사부를 기리는 다양한 행사를 통해 이사부장군의 해양개척정신을 계승하고 발전시켜 나가겠다.”고 전했다.

A city official stated, “As the departure site of General Isabu’s Usan-guk expedition, Samcheok City will continue to honor him through diverse events, inheriting and further developing his pioneering maritime spirit.”
