강원관광재단, ‘제12회 제주국제크루즈포럼’ 참가

속초항 홍보부스 운영 및 글로벌 선사 대상 B2B 상담 진행

강원특별자치도와 속초시, 강원관광재단(대표이사 최성현)은 지난 7월 10일부터 12일까지 제주국제컨벤션센터에서 열린 ‘제12회 제주국제크루즈포럼’에 참가해 속초항 크루즈 기항 유치를 위한 홍보 활동을 전개했다.

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, Sokcho City, and the Gangwon Tourism Organization (CEO Choi Seong-hyeon) participated in the 12th Jeju International Cruise Forum held at the Jeju International Convention Center from July 10 to 12, promoting the attraction of cruise calls to Sokcho Port.

‘제주국제크루즈포럼’은 해양수산부와 제주특별자치도가 주최하고, 제주관광공사가 주관하는 국내 최대 규모의 크루즈 산업 포럼이다.

The Jeju International Cruise Forum is the nation’s largest cruise industry forum, hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and organized by the Jeju Tourism Organization.

매년 국제 주요 크루즈 선사, 여행사, 기항지 관계자 등 관련 전문가들이 참가해 크루즈 산업의 지속 가능한 발전 방향을 논의하고, 비즈니스 상담과 네트워킹(교류)을 진행하는 자리다.

Every year, the forum brings together global cruise lines, travel agencies, port officials, and industry experts to discuss the sustainable development of the cruise industry and engage in business consultations and networking.

특히 이번 포럼에서, 재단은 국가관 내 속초항 홍보부스를 운영하며 주요 선사인 ‘엠에스씨(MSC)’, ‘로얄캐리비안(Royal Caribbean)’, ‘프린세스(Princess)’와의 상담을 집중적으로 추진했다.

At this year’s forum, the Gangwon Tourism Organization operated a promotional booth for Sokcho Port within the national pavilion and conducted focused consultations with major cruise lines such as MSC, Royal Caribbean, and Princess Cruises.

또한 △ 속초항의 기항 인프라, △ 신규 추천 항로, △ 환대 프로그램 등을 소개하는 한편, 동북아 대표 기항지로서 경쟁력과 차별화된 강점을 적극 홍보했다.

The organization introduced Sokcho Port’s infrastructure, new recommended routes, and hospitality programs while actively promoting the port’s competitiveness and unique appeal as a leading destination in Northeast Asia.

속초항에는 2028년까지 총 16항차 입항이 예정되어 있으며, 재단은 앞으로도 국내외 크루즈 박람회 참가, 선사 대상 초청 홍보 여행(팸투어) 등 다양한 유치 활동을 지속적으로 전개할 계획이다.

A total of 16 cruise calls to Sokcho Port are scheduled by 2028. The organization plans to continue its efforts by participating in domestic and international cruise expos and hosting promotional familiarization tours for cruise operators.

#최성현 강원관광재단 대표이사는 “속초항은 국내외 크루즈 노선에서 매력적인 기항지로 주목받고 있다”며, “이번 포럼을 통해 글로벌 선사들과의 접점을 확대하고, 크루즈 유치를 위한 기반을 더욱 공고히 하는 계기가 됐다”고 말했다.

Choi Seong-hyeon, CEO of the Gangwon Tourism Organization, stated, “Sokcho Port is gaining attention as an attractive cruise destination both domestically and internationally,” adding, “This forum served as an opportunity to expand connections with global cruise lines and strengthen the foundation for future cruise attraction efforts.”
