강릉 순두부 전골, 마카오 입맛 사로잡다!

강릉시가 ‘2025 마카오 세계 미식 축제’에서 순두부 전골을 선보이며 세계 미식 무대에 첫발을 내디뎠다.

Gangneung City made its global culinary debut at the 2025 Macau International Gastronomy Festival with its signature dish, soft tofu hot pot.

유네스코 미식 창의도시인 강릉시는 7월 13일(일), 마카오 피셔맨스 워프(Fisherman’s Wharf)에서 열린 이번 축제에서 첫 번째 미식 쇼케이스를 성황리에 마쳤다.

As a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, Gangneung successfully completed its first culinary showcase on Sunday, July 13, at Fisherman’s Wharf in Macau.

이번 행사는 유네스코 창의도시 간의 미식 문화 교류를 촉진하고 각 도시의 고유한 음식 문화를 소개하기 위한 ‘2025 마카오 세계 미식 축제’의 공식 프로그램 중 하나로 진행되었다.

The event is part of the official program of the 2025 Macau International Gastronomy Festival, designed to promote culinary exchanges among UNESCO Creative Cities and highlight their unique food identities.

강릉시는 첫 번째 쇼케이스에서 지역 특산물인 순두부를 활용한 순두부 전골 요리 시연을 선보였다.

During the first showcase, Gangneung presented a cooking demonstration of soft tofu hot pot, a dish made with its local specialty—soft tofu.

부드럽고 담백한 맛의 순두부 전골은 건강한 식문화를 전하며, 마카오 현지 향신료와 조화를 이루는 레시피로 큰 호응을 얻었다.

The soft and delicate flavors of the hot pot conveyed Gangneung’s healthy food culture and received enthusiastic responses thanks to its harmonious use of locally available Macau spices.

이어지는 두 번째 쇼케이스는 7월 15일(화) 열릴 예정이며, 강릉의 또 다른 대표 음식인 장칼국수를 주제로 한다.

The second showcase is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, and will feature another of Gangneung’s iconic dishes—Jang Kalguksu (soybean paste spicy noodle soup).

강릉은 지역의 장류 문화를 담아낸 얼큰한 국물 요리를 통해 미식의 다양성과 깊이를 전 세계에 알릴 계획이다.

Through this spicy broth dish that reflects the region's fermented soybean sauce culture, Gangneung plans to emphasize the depth and diversity of its culinary traditions.

이화정 강릉시 문화예술과장은 “1차 쇼케이스에서 순두부 전골에 대한 현지 반응이 매우 뜨거웠다”며 “2차 쇼케이스에서는 장칼국수를 통해 강릉 미식 문화의 창의성과 정체성을 더욱 널리 알릴 수 있도록 준비하겠다”고 전했다.

Lee Hwa-jung, Director of Culture and Arts for Gangneung City, said, “The local response to our soft tofu hot pot was very enthusiastic,” adding, “We are preparing to further showcase Gangneung’s culinary creativity and identity through Jang Kalguksu at the second showcase.”
