강릉시, 제25회 신사임당 얼 선양 상상걸작선 전시회 개최

예술혼과 여성정신을 계승하는 창작의 향연
A Celebration of Creative Spirit Honoring the Legacy of Artistic Virtue and Womanhood

조선의 위대한 여성 예술가, 신사임당의 높은 예술정신과 창의적 영감을 오늘에 되살리는 전시회가 강릉에서 펼쳐진다.

Gangneung City proudly presents an exhibition that revives the artistic excellence and creative spirit of Shin Saimdang, one of Joseon Dynasty’s most revered female artists.

이번 『신사임당 얼 선양 상상 걸작선 전시회』는 A Celebration of Creative Spirit Honoring the Legacy of Artistic Virtue and Womanhood 의 주관으로, 7월 3일(목) 오후 1시 30분 개막식을 시작으로 강릉아트센터 제1전시실에서 성대히 열린다. 전시는 7월 25일(토) 오후 12시까지 계속되며, 누구나 자유롭게 관람할 수 있다.

Organized by the Yulgok Research Institute's Saimdang 21 (President Kim Hyo-sook), the 25th Shin Saimdang Spirit Tribute Exhibition of Imaginative Masterpieces will commence with an opening ceremony at 1:30 PM on Thursday, July 3, and be held at Exhibition Hall 1 of the Gangneung Art Center through Saturday, July 25 at noon. Admission is free to all.

이번 전시는 지난 6월 10일(화) 개최된 ‘강원여성문예경연대회’ 입상작 30점을 포함하여, 역대 신사임당상 수상자 작품, 지역 예술인과 시민 작가들의 창작 작품 등 총 80여 점이 전시되며, 여성 예술혼의 맥을 이은 다채로운 예술 세계를 선보인다.

The exhibition features over 80 works of art, including 30 award-winning pieces from the Gangwon Women's Literary Arts Competition held on June 10, as well as creations by previous Shin Saimdang Award recipients, local artists, and civic contributors—each reflecting the enduring lineage of feminine artistry.

더불어, ‘제32회 강원여성문예경연대회’ 시, 수필, 한글서예, 한문서예, 문인화, 전통자수 등 여섯 부문에서 장원을 수상한 예술인 30명에 대한 강원특별자치도지사 시상도 함께 이루어져, 예술을 통한 여성의 자긍심과 위상을 드높일 예정이다.

Additionally, a special award ceremony recognizing 30 top winners across six categories—poetry, essay, Korean calligraphy, classical Chinese calligraphy, literary painting, and traditional embroidery—from the 32nd Gangwon Women's Literary Arts Competition will be hosted by the Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, underscoring the pride and prestige of women's contributions through art.

이건령 강릉시 인구가족과장은 “이번 전시는 지역 여성 예술인들을 발굴하고 후원함은 물론, 신사임당 선양사업의 문화적 외연을 확장하고, 여성친화도시 강릉의 가치를 더욱 빛내는 뜻깊은 자리”라고 전했다.

Mr. Lee Geon-ryeong, Director of Gangneung’s Population and Family Affairs Division, remarked, “This exhibition is not only a meaningful stage for discovering and supporting female artists in our region, but also a cultural extension of the Shin Saimdang Tribute Project, enhancing Gangneung’s identity as a women-friendly city.”
