Sharing Gangwon-style Household Economy and Social Integration Policy Cases with Sri Lanka

강원특별자치도의 우수 정책과 선진 기술, 성공 사례에 대한 해외의 관심이 높아지고 있다.

Interest from abroad is growing in Gangwon Province’s outstanding policies, advanced technologies, and successful development cases.

 강원특별자치도(도지사#김진태)는 6월 23일부터 7월 5일까지 2주간, 도 국제도시훈련센터에서 「스리랑카 가계경제 발전」을 주제로 한 국제연수과정을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

 Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) announced that it will run a two-week international training program titled “Household Economic Development in Sri Lanka” at the Provincial Urban Training Center from June 23 to July 5.

 이번 연수는 스리랑카 경제개발기획재정부 등 중앙정부와 북중부주 지방정부 소속 공무원 18명이 참가하며,

 Eighteen government officials from Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Economic Development and Planning and the North Central Provincial Government are participating in the training.

 강원형 가계 및 지역경제 활성화 정책 사례를 학습하고,

 They will study Gangwon-style policies for revitalizing household and regional economies,

도내 소상공인 지원기관과 지역 주민 커뮤니티센터 등을 직접 견학하며, 자국에 도입 가능한 사업 아이디어를 논의한다.

Visit local institutions supporting small businesses and community centers to explore ideas that can be adopted in Sri Lanka.

특히, 스리랑카 측이 특별히 관심을 보인 도 농업기술원 옥수수연구소를 포함해 도내 6개 연구기관과, 유기농 비료 제조업체 등 4개 유망기업과의 교류를 통해 강원 기술의 해외 진출 가능성도 모색할 예정이다.

 In particular, with Sri Lanka showing special interest in Gangwon’s Corn Research Institute, the program will include exchanges with six provincial research institutions and four promising companies, such as organic fertilizer manufacturers, to explore potential overseas expansion of Gangwon’s technologies.

#전희선 도 국제협력관은 “강원특별자치도 출범 이후, 스리랑카를 비롯한 아시아 개발도상국에서 행정, 경제, 산업, 복지 등 전 분야에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다”며,

Jeon Hee-sun, Director of International Cooperation of Gangwon Province, stated, “Since the launch of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, developing countries across Asia including Sri Lanka have shown increasing interest in our administration, economy, industry, and welfare policies,”

 “이번 국제연수를 계기로 실질적인 경제협력 성과가 창출될 수 있도록 지속적으로 후속 관리를 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

 “We will continue follow-up efforts to ensure that this international training leads to tangible economic cooperation outcomes.”

한편, 본 연수는 강원특별자치도가 한국국제협력단(KOICA)의 공모사업에 선정되어 2024년부터 2026년까지 3년간 총 3억 원의 사업비를 지원받아 추진되는 프로그램이다.

Meanwhile, this training program is part of a KOICA-funded project selected through a public contest, receiving a total of 300 million KRW (approx. USD 215,000) over three years from 2024 to 2026.
