강원도립대학교, 외국인 유학생들과 함께‘2025 강릉단오제’거리 페레이드 참여

Gangwon State University (President Kim Kwang-rae) participated in the "Sintong Daegil Street Parade," a signature event of the Gangneung Dano Festival, on Thursday, May 29, along with international students from four universities in the Gangneung area.

Under the theme "World Cultural Exchange in Tradition," this event provided a meaningful opportunity for international students to directly experience Korea's representative traditional festival, the Dano Festival, and to interact with the local community. 

Approximately 60 international students from four universities in the Gangneung region took part in the parade.

Among them, 25 students from the Korean Language Institute of Gangwon State University actively joined the parade, waving colorful cheering sticks inscribed with the phrase "I ♥ Gangwon State University," attracting great attention from the citizens.

President Kim Kwang-rae stated, "This participation in the Dano Festival was a valuable opportunity for international students to experience Korean culture firsthand and to engage with the local community," adding, "I hope the Gangneung Dano Festival will continue to grow as an open cultural festival that connects not only the region but also the world." 

 ‘전통 속의 세계 문화 교류’… 다채로운 퍼포먼스로 축제 열기 더해..

강원도립대학교(총장 김광래)는 지난 5월 29일(목), 강릉단오제의 대표 행사인 ‘신통대길 길놀이’ 거리 퍼레이드에 강릉지역 4개 대학 외국인 유학생들과 함께 참여했다.  

‘전통 속의 세계 문화 교류’를 주제로 열린 이번 행사는 외국인 유학생들이 한국의 대표 전통문화인 단오제를 직접 체험하고, 지역사회와 교류하는 뜻깊은 자리로 마련되었다. 이날 퍼레이드에는 강릉지역 4개 대학 소속 유학생 약 60여 명이 참여했으며,

이 중 강원도립대학교 한국어학당 유학생 25명은 ‘I ♥ 강원도립대학교’ 문구가 적힌 형형색색의 응원봉을 흔들며 행진에 적극 참여해 시민들의 큰 관심을 끌었다. 

김광래 총장은 “이번 단오제 참여는 외국인 유학생들이 한국 문화를 생생하게 체험하고 지역 주민들과 교류할 수 있는 뜻깊은 기회였다”라며, “앞으로도 강릉단오제가 지역을 넘어 세계와 소통하는 열린 문화축제로 더욱 발전해 나가길 바란다”라고 밝혔다.
