동해시가족센터, 성과보고회‘홈커밍데이’개최

Donghae City Family Center Holds 2024 Homecoming Day Performance Report

On the 7th, the Donghae City Family Center (Director Woo Mi-kang) hosted the 2024 Family Center performance report event, "Homecoming Day," targeting multicultural families and Family Center users.

This event was attended by approximately 250 multicultural families and citizens.

The center presented the achievements of various programs conducted throughout 2024 and recognized outstanding contributions made during the year.

Appreciation plaques were awarded to exemplary caregivers, including Gong Kyung-nam, key contributor Kang Eun-hye (Women’s Childcare Team Leader), and the sponsoring company, KB Kookmin Bank Donghae Branch.

Of particular interest was the Cultural Experience Zone, which featured activities such as a Kids Zone, World Folk Games, and World Hat Experience.

Many citizens participated enthusiastically, creating traditional crafts from countries like China, Vietnam, and the Philippiness.

This provided a valuable opportunity to experience diverse cultures and foster mutual understanding, creating a platform for communication and harmony.

Additionally, a forum on the current and future state of Donghae City's family policies featured lively discussions with participants such as Professor Kang Jong-su and Professor Kim Je-seon from Kangwon National University’s Department of Social Welfare, as well as Yoo Soon-ok, a Gangwon Provincial Council member.

One citizen remarked, "Despite the chilly weather, it was a precious time to create memorable experiences with my children through activities from different countries. I will definitely participate again if there is another opportunity like this."

Family Center Director Woo Mi-kang expressed gratitude, stating, “I sincerely thank everyone who joined us. We will continue our efforts in 2025 to promote healthy social integration where families of all backgrounds can come together.”

동해시가족센터(센터장 우미강)는 지난 7일 다문화 가족과 가족센터 이용자를 대상으로 2024년 가족센터 성과보고회인 ‘홈커밍데이’를 개최하였다.

이번 행사는 다문화 가족과 시민 250여명이 참여한 가운데, 2024년 한 해 동안 가족센터가 진행한 다양한 사업의 성과를 보고하였고, 2024년 한 해 동안 헌신적으로 기여한 공로를 인정하여 우수 아이돌보미활동가 공경남, 기여공로자 강은혜 여성보육팀장, 후원기업 KB국민은행 동해지점에 감사의 마음을 담아 감사패를 전달하였다.

특히, 문화체험 Zone(키즈존, 세계민속놀이체험, 세계모자체험)에 많은 시민이 관심을 보여 중국, 베트남, 필리핀 등 다양한 나라별 전통품을 직접 만들어보며 다양한 문화를 경험하는 시간을 가지며 다양한 문화와 가치를 공유하고 소통과 화합의 장을 만들었다.

또한, 동해시 가족 정책의 현재와 미래를 주제로 한 포럼이 강종수 강원대학교 사회복지학과 교수, 김제선 강원대학교 사회복지학과 교수, 유순옥 강원특별자치도의원 등이 참여하여 열띤 토론을 펼쳤다.

행사에 참여한 시민은 “쌀쌀한 날씨지만 아이들과 함께 다양한 나라의 체험 활동이 추억으로 남는 소중한 시간이었고 다음에도 이런 기회가 있다면 꼭 다시 참여하겠다.”고 말했다.

우미강 가족센터장은 “함께해주신 모든 분께 감사드리고 2025년에도 다양한 가족이 함께하는 건강한 사회 통합을 위해 더욱더 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
